Is Hood Warfare 2 on PS5, Xbox or Mobile?
The most-asked question after “is it good?”: no. Hood Warfare 2 is a Windows PC game sold only on Steam. No PlayStation, no Xbox, no Switch, no mobile, no Mac. Here’s the full platform picture and what your options actually are.
Hood Warfare 2 is Windows PC only, via Steam. There is no PS5, Xbox, Switch, or mobile version, and none announced. It runs on Steam Deck through Proton with settings tweaks. Crossplay doesn’t exist because there’s nothing to cross-play with — everyone is on PC.

| Xbox Series X | S | ❌ No |
| Nintendo Switch | ❌ No | Not released or announced. |
| macOS | ❌ No | No Mac build. |
| iOS / Android | ❌ No | Any “Hood Warfare 2 mobile” listing or APK is fake — likely malware. |

| Epic Games Store / GOG | ❌ No | Steam-exclusive. |
Why is it PC only?
Trapstar Games is a tiny self-publishing indie team. Porting to consoles requires certification, platform SDKs, and usually a porting partner — real time and money for a $5.99 game. A PC-Steam-only launch is the standard indie path: ship where the audience is, port later if the money follows. Given the game’s strong launch (see player count), a console port is plausible eventually — but nothing is announced, and this page will be updated the moment that changes.
Playing on Steam Deck and handhelds
Hood Warfare 2 isn’t a Verified Steam Deck title, but as a DirectX 12 Windows game it launches through Proton. Community reports point to playable framerates at reduced settings. Tips:
- Force Proton Experimental (or newest) in the game’s Steam compatibility settings.
- Drop shadows and volumetrics first — UE5’s heaviest systems.
- Cap the framerate for battery life; multiplayer sessions drain the Deck fast.
- Check recent community reports on anti-cheat compatibility before buying specifically for Deck play.
Playing with friends
Everyone needs the Steam PC version — there’s no crossplay because there’s only one platform. Custom matches let you build a private lobby with bots filling empty slots, so a trio can run full lobbies. More in our play with friends guide.
Platform FAQ
Is Hood Warfare 2 coming to PS5 or Xbox?
Not announced. A console port is possible if the game keeps selling, but Trapstar Games hasn’t said anything. Watch the studio’s Steam news for announcements.
Is there a Hood Warfare 2 mobile version or APK?
No official mobile version exists. Sites offering a “Hood Warfare 2 APK” or mobile download are fake and dangerous — the only official version is on Steam for Windows PC.
Does Hood Warfare 2 have crossplay?
Crossplay isn’t applicable — the game exists on one platform (PC/Steam). All players play together on the same servers.
Can I play Hood Warfare 2 with a controller on PC?
Yes — full controller support is listed on the Steam page. Many players report the feel is close to classic CoD on a pad.
Can I play on Mac through GeForce Now or cloud gaming?
Hood Warfare 2 isn’t in cloud gaming catalogs at launch. If it gets added to GeForce Now or similar, we’ll update this page.
